Lives and works in Copenhagen

Beauty, fragility and failure comprise the work of Peter Callesen where what seem impossible becomes real. Grotesque or melancholic points are often revealed through surprising narrative discourses. A powerful poetic universe exists in the paper works which are done with an exceptional meticulous technique. In his performances the artist presents himself as the protagonist in a romantic fairy tale world of lost illusions.
